Access only with authentication

Access to your FileDepot is only granted to users you have invited. Each user receives his own access data with which they log in / authenticate themselves to your FileDepot. Read more about user management.

Secure SSL Data Transfer

An SSL certificate ensures that data can be transferred between server and client without misuse of data. The Transport Layer Security (TLS), or its previous name Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), is a hybrid encryption protocol, which is inevitable especially for e-commerce applications, but also for transactions in which confidential data is sent over the Internet. Depending on the browser's performance, FileDepot offers a 256 -, 128 -, 56 - or 40-bit encryption.

Isolated instances

Each FileDepot is an independent entity with its own database. This will protect your company data from unauthorized access, e.g. caused by software bugs, while also providing maximum flexibility in terms of individual adjustments.

Virus scanning (*)

Before storing a file in FileDepot, the McAfee virus scanner checks the file. In case of a potential threat, the concerned file is put into quarantine and the administrator will be informed, who can then decide on appropriate action concerning the file(s).

Hard disk encryption (*)

Through hard disk encryption of the FileDepot servers, unauthorized access to sensitive data in case of theft of servers will be prevented. The algorithm used is AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) in a 256 bits key length.

Two-factor authentication (*)

FileDepot offers optionally a two-factor authentication through a combination of methods. Use is made of the methods "Something you know" and "Something you have". To preserve the flexible comfort of the system, part of the identification data via a "second channel" communication is transferred via a second channel. Intrusion Detection / Protection (*)

A network attack can be an existential threat to the network. Firewalls and antivirus software can eliminate significant threats, but attacks on the internal network cannot be completely excluded. Protection of the backbone network infrastructure already keeps the biggest part of important threats from reaching your FileDepot. However, in order to provide the highest level of individual security, we would be happy to customize IDS services or provide you with other relevant security-related services. Dedicated hosting (*)

We would be happy to provide you with FileDepot on a dedicated server taken care of by us. Meaning: you choose a data center and opt for a purchased, leased or rented server.
